The OPAF Origin Story

Since the first enrolled patient in March 2017, OPAF has helped over 127,000 patients with 475,000 prescriptions shipped.

What started as an independent entity funded by donations from Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has become the OPAF of today: an independent 501c3 organization committed to the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of patients and their caregivers throughout their health journey.

The OPAF Vision

Our vision is to deliver personalized patient assistance that meets the needs of each individual and empowers them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. By doing this, we strive to continuously improve and deliver a model for how patient assistance foundations can support people’s health and wellness.

The OPAF Mission

Our mission is to inspire hope and make a meaningful, lasting impact for every individual we serve. We provide eligible people not only with free medications from Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. and its US affiliated companies, but also care coordination services and wellness offerings.

The OPAF Values

Being COMPASSIONATE to people’s needs

Being INNOVATIVE in our commitment to find solutions that help reduce barriers for the those that we assist.

Being COMMITTED to having a positive impact on an individual’s health and wellbeing and making a REAL difference in people’s lives.
