The Otsuka Patient Assistance Foundation, Inc. (OPAF) is dedicated to patients’ health and wellness. In addition to assistance with free Otsuka medication, OPAF also assists patients with additional barriers that may affect their health. Taking support beyond just the prescribed pill or injection, the vision of OPAF is to help the person behind the disease. From free wellness offerings to finding external resources to address housing and food insecurity, OPAF is on a mission to make a real difference in the lives of patients.
OPAF recognizes that patients face unique challenges that negatively impact their health journey. OPAF is dedicated to being a foundation of excellence that focuses on providing free health and wellness solutions through the OPAF Resource and Solutions Center. OPAF provides assistance with finding external, alternative resources that assist patients with nutrition, housing and other financial issues, medical financial issues, disease education, and transportation concerns related to receiving care.

The OPAF Origin Story
Since the first enrolled patient in March 2017, OPAF has helped over 127,000 patients with 475,000 prescriptions shipped.
What started as an independent entity funded by donations from Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has become the OPAF of today: an independent 501c3 organization committed to the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of patients and their caregivers throughout their health journey.
